SUMMARY:Nehalem Bay Crab Derby
DESCRIPTION:Come out to Kelly’s Brighton Marina for the annual Crab Derby on Saturday\, June 6th! Kelly’s Marina will release 26 tagged crabs into the Nehalem Bay on Saturday\, June 6th. A $10 per ticket entry fee is required to participate in the Derby\, with proceeds from ticket sales going to two sponsored charities — the MuddNick Foundation of Manzanita\, OR and the Animal Haven By The Sea Rescue in Nehalem\, OR. \nAll captured tagged crabs must be returned to the Marina by 5:00pm and a drawing will be held to determine the top prize of $1\,000 cash. Live music\,  games\, crafts\, many great vendors\, raffles\, and a wide array of prizes round out an exciting event that becomes an annual tradition for many who attend.

DESCRIPTION:Participants can purchase clay\, plus there are a number of bisque pieces available to buy and glaze as well.  All experience levels are welcome and a Studio Host is available to answer questions and offer tips.  Children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult.  Studio fees are $2 per hour\, which includes glazing and firing up the finished product.  Clay is $2 per 1 pound section. The result is a vibrant and heartfelt ensemble that captures the emotional depth and energy of this beloved story. \nASL instruction for the actors and interpretation for this production will be provided through the TBCC ASL program. This program supports the development of students’ ASL knowledge while helping expand access and connection within the community.
