After a long day of exploring some of the 70 miles of coastline on the Tillamook Coast, there’s nothing better than digging into a great burger. We’ve put together a list of our Top Ten Burger places you’ve got to try along the Tillamook Coast.

Dutch Mill Diner

Dutch Mill Diner is located right off of Main Street in Historic downtown Tillamook. Its dining room has a vibrant 1950s feel, and a family-friendly atmosphere. Dutch Mill also has many great burgers to choose from, but customers rave about the Horseshoe Burger– which is an open faced burger topped with a pile French fries and smothered in a Gorgonzola garlic sauce that is rich and fabulous. It will be a burger to remember!

San Dune Pub

San Dune Pub is located in the heart of Manzanita Village, just three blocks from the beach. Their lodge-like setting is a great place to relax, and they feature some of the best live music on the Oregon Coast. Their burgers are made with all natural Peidmontese Beef that is raised without hormones or antibiotics. You can choose from 12 different signature burgers including, the Chili burger, the Chipotle Bacon Cheeseburger, the Teriyaki Burger, and more! All burgers come with Potato Chips, or your choice of French Fries, Tater Tots, Sweet Potato Fries, or Onion Rings.

Check out the modern American wonder that is Upstairs Bar & Grill located right off the Netarts Bay. Socialize on their outdoor patio, or enjoy their bustling indoor dining spaces. Each of their burgers are made from 100% Oregon chuck, and come with a 1/3 pound patty. The recommended favorite is the Upstairs Burger that is topped with onions, ham, swiss and cheddar cheese. Upper Crust Pizza

This easy going pizza parlor is known for its gourmet pizza, but if you’re in the mood for a burger you should dig in to Upper Crust Pizza’s steak burger. This family-owned restaurant resides in Rockaway Beach off highway 101. Their mouth-watering burger comes with a half-pound of steak, topped with lettuce, pickle, tomato, onion, cheese, and their special spread. Enjoy your burger with a side of upper crust’s tater tots.

The Schooner

Also located on the Netarts Bay is The Schooner Restaurant and Lounge. Their outdoor patio offers a fantastic view of the bay, and with their friendly service and full bar menu, this a great place to unwind. The Schooner sources their beef from St. Helens and Painted Hills, and is one of the only places that grinds their own meet on site, which guarantees that the meat in your burger comes from one cow. They feature four artfully crafted burgers on their menu, the fan favorite is the Ol’ Smokey—topped with onion jam (that is made in a wood-fired oven), bacon, and Rouge Creamery Smokey Blue Cheese. Also highly recommended is the unique Japanese-style Izakaya Burger topped with Tsukemono Pickled Vegetables, Tograshi spice, Tamago egg, and savory Umami Mayo.

The Ghost Hole

The Ghost Hole Public House is a friendly neighborhood restaurant located in Garibaldi. Relax in their outdoor patio space, or pull up a chair at the bar. Choose from ten different specialty burgers, including their classic Ghost Hole Burger, Arthur’s Bacon Cheese Burger– which comes with pepper bacon and cheddar cheese, or Sir Paul’s Blues Burger—which is topped with pepper bacon and chunky blue cheese dressing. All burgers are made with a 1/3 pound of grilled beef, served on a bed of lettuce, tomato, and onion on a fresh baked bun and a side of fries, tots, or potato salad.

Pelican Pub & Brewery

Pelican Pub & Brewery is a beachside taproom and restaurant located off Cape Kiwanda in Pacific City. Take a tour of their taproom and brewery and then grab a seat in their dining area to enjoy a burger and brew. Choose from four different artisan burgers: the Brewers Burger, Surf and Turf Burger, the Spicy Burger, or the Elk burger. They use all natural Oregon-grown meat, and the burgers come with a side of beer-battered fries or crisp tater tots. Alice’s Country House

Check out Alice’s Country House, a traditional American restaurant located off the Wilson River Highway in Tillamook. Their extensive burger menu comes with choices such as the Louisiana Burger—a beef patty topped with onion, hot peppers, Octoberfest sausage, and sautéed Louisiana hot sauce; or the Siskeyville Burger which is a beef patty topped with ham, pepper bacon, egg, Tillamook Cheddar Cheese, special sauce, and all the fixin’s. All Burgers are made with a 1/3 pound all-beef patty and served with chips, potato salad, coleslaw or fries. Alice’s is also home of the Challenge Burger. This 2lb Tillamook cheeseburger comes on a 12″ bakery bun with their special sauce, all the fixin’s, and two large orders of fries.

Located off Brooten Road in Pacific City is the classic American Oar House Bar & Grill. This pleasant neighborhood restaurant offers tasty food, a full bar menu, and an outdoor patio. All of Oar’s House Burgers come with a full 1/3 pound patty made from 100% Northwest Ground Chuck, and are topped with Tillamook Cheese, lettuce, tomato, Onion, Pickles, and House Sauce on a toasted local bun. Café on Hawk Creek is an affable little café located in Neskowin, OR. This casual, family-friendly restaurant is near the beach at Proposal Rock and provides indoor and outdoor seating.
