Today\, he serves as co-chair of the Pacific City Dorymen’s Association.\nSteve Johnson is a third-generation commercial fisherman who began fishing with his father\, JJ Johnson\, when he was just a middle schooler. Carrying on his family’s fishing tradition\, Steve has been actively involved with the Pacific City Dorymen’s Association and has served as a board member for the past 20 years.\n\nMike Sears is a third-generation resident of Tierra Del Mar whose dory fishing experience began with his father Bill Sears who operated Sears Sporting Goods in Pacific City from 1963 to 1979. Mike’s father-in-law\, Jack Gilman was a well-known local dory boat builder\, further connecting Mike to the rich tradition of the Pacific City dory fleet.
