Come create and play at the Vista House at Meadow Harvest on the Tillamook Coast. This farm-stay paradise in Nehalem is where owners Sage and Brian welcome you with a tour of the farm, accompanied by Annie the Great Pyrenees.
Visit Sage’s gallery in the historic farmhouse and get inspired by her abundant creativity.
Love color? The artist-inspired accommodations are family friendly and also perfect for solo, couples or friend getaways.
Love fiber arts? Sage offers knitting, felting or hand-spinning lessons.
Love to paint? Bring your watercolors or acrylics and spend the day plein air to express the beauty of the mountains, river, barns and farm animals.
Love to write? Bring a journal and favorite pen to report on authentic relaxation or convey what it might be like to live in a place like this.
All this creating and relaxing play does work up an appetite, so guests are offered farm-fresh, organic produce, fresh eggs and grass-fed beef and lamb. And, on a hot day, bring a blanket and picnic down by the private river frontage to swim, float and wade. How about a nap? (We won’t tell anyone).
If a trip to civilization is absolutely needed, Wheeler, Nehalem and Manzanita are just minutes away. Between these three villages, there are plenty of places to pick up supplies, go shopping or browse art galleries.
After a night or two of starry skies, and days spent surrounded by the sheep, cows, eagles, herons and the friendly donkey and llamas, most guests to this 60-acre River Meadow Farm never want to leave.
Accommodations include a room with one queen bed, or a room with a double and a twin.
