Connecting Food, Place, and Community Along Oregon’s North Coast
The North Coast Food Trail is a regional culinary initiative that highlights the people, places, and flavors shaping Oregon’s North Coast food scene. While the Tillamook Coast Visitors Association administers and supports the trail, its reach extends well beyond Tillamook County — connecting communities, producers, and culinary experiences from Astoria, Seaside, and Cannon Beach, through the Tillamook Coast and surrounding coastal and inland areas.
The trail showcases locally sourced food and drink experiences, including farms, creameries, fisheries, restaurants, bakeries, food carts, breweries, distilleries, and specialty food producers. Together, these stops tell a larger story about working lands and waters, regional identity, and the value of supporting local food systems.
A Regional Approach to Food Tourism
Food tourism doesn’t stop at county lines. The North Coast Food Trail was created to reflect how visitors actually travel — exploring multiple communities, following flavors, and discovering connections between place, people, and plate.
By working across jurisdictions and tourism organizations, the trail:
- Encourages longer stays and deeper exploration
- Supports small producers and independently owned businesses
- Strengthens regional partnerships and collaboration
- Elevates Oregon’s North Coast as a destination for culinary travel

Why the Food Trail Matters
For industry partners, the North Coast Food Trail provides a shared platform to:
- Increase visibility for local food and beverage businesses
- Connect visitors with authentic, place-based experiences
- Promote sustainable agriculture, fisheries, and food systems
- Reinforce stewardship of working lands and waters
The trail helps align tourism with economic vitality, cultural heritage, and environmental responsibility.
