Examples of past facilities grant projects include Riverbend Players auditorium improvements, Tire Trail rebuild in Oceanside, and City of Tillamook Coatsville Park playground equipment replacement.

  • How much money is available?
    Tillamook County is offering $400,000 to be reinvested into tourism-related facilities and projects. This money comes from transient lodging tax (TLT) and TCVA is supporting the county by administering this grant program.
  • Who can apply?
    Cities, counties, ports, special districts, governments, state agencies, and nonprofit organizations.
  • What is the maximum amount awarded?
    We can grant up to $75,000 per applicant.
  • When is the application deadline?
    12/15/26
  • What are your funding priorities?
    The county is looking for projects that: invest in tourism infrastructure, protect sensitive ecological areas from tourism impacts, manage congestion and overuse, improve trails, parking, and signage, educate visitors, and build collaboration.
  • What if the project costs more than that?
    The grant can go towards the cost of a larger project.
  • What types of projects can be funded?
    Tourism facilities, improved real property, planning and design, and permanent infrastructure.
  • Do the funds have to be matched?
    No, the funds do not have to be matched by your organization.
  • Are the funds provided ahead of project completion?
    No, the funds are provided on a reimbursement basis only.
  • What’s the total amount of funds available for our county?
    The county has $400,000 to award to our local cities, districts, and nonprofits for tourism facility grants.
  • Can you give me some examples of projects that would qualify?

    • Updates to current visitor centers
    • Parking lot with increased parking
    • Accessible playground equipment
    • Native plant project at sensitive visitor site
    • New trail work or trail rebuild
    • Additional restrooms
