Building the next generation of Oregon’s coastal hospitality workforce
Tillamook Coast Visitors Association (TCVA) partners with Nestucca High School to offer an Introduction to Tourism and Hospitality course that builds early awareness of career opportunities in our region’s visitor economy. The class helps students understand the value of tourism, develop foundational workplace skills, and explore career paths across lodging, food and beverage, recreation, retail, events, and stewardship.
Industry-informed and locally focused, the curriculum blends classroom learning with real-world experiences, including site tours, guest speakers, service projects, and job-shadow opportunities. These hands-on interactions connect students directly with employers and showcase the wide range of rewarding hospitality careers available on the Tillamook Coast.
