Hang Gliding & Paragliding
The Tillamook Coast is home to a few well-known free-flight launch sites. Conditions vary and some locations are for experienced pilots only — always check local rules and weather.
Anderson’s Viewpoint
Scenic but technical, located just south of Cape Lookout State Park, with views of Netarts Bay. Landing is typically on the beach at Cape Lookout. Vehicles in the day-use lot are required to have a parking permit ($10/day or $60 for an annual permit). Paraglider/hang glider vehicles used to pick up gear are not allowed in campground unless they have registered with a campsite. More info on Anderson’s Viewpoint.
Launch site will be closed from March to September 2026 due to the Cape Lookout Construction Project; no access to the day-use area will be permitted.
