Home to the Historic Dory Fishing Fleet and Longboard Surfing Competition

For more than 100 years, Pacific City has been home to the Dory Fishing Fleet, the only one of its kind in the lower 48 states. The fishermen launch and land their boats from the beach, bringing their ocean catch in to local restaurants.  The annual Cape Kiwanda Longboard Classic is an international surfing competition in September that attracts the best surfers from around the world.
