Tillamook Anglers Association 37th Annual Fin Clipping Day

The very popular “Fin Clip Day” will be held on Saturday April 25th from 9am to 2pm at the Whiskey Creek Volunteer Fish Hatchery located on Netarts bay. Over 300 people of all ages are expected to volunteer and help celebrate Tillamook Anglers’ 37th year of fin clipping our juvenile Spring Chinook Salmon. This annual event draws participants from all up and down the North Coast and from as far away as Astoria, Multnomah and Salem. Approximately 110,000 salmon will have their Adipose fin removed prior to release to the Trask River during this event. Coffee and doughnuts will be provided in the morning with a BBQ lunch at noon that is free for everyone. We can use anyone that shows up and volunteers for this event. Bring your whole family! It is a great experience!
