Take the Pledge
Care for the Coast Pledge
We know that our stunning landscapes and the unique character of our communities are what make the Tillamook Coast so special. We want visitors and residents alike to join us in caring for our coast so we can all experience the best our region has to offer — now and for many years to come.
While you’re here, consider taking our Care for the Coast pledge. Download it, keep it in your backpack, and feel free to remind others to take the Pledge along with you.
- I promise to be prepared with all-weather gear, bags for my trash, and a good backup plan (in case a beach or trail is full).
- I promise to be safe by always checking fire regulations and NEVER turning my back on the ocean. If a sign says “Do not go past this point!” – I won’t.
- I promise to drive responsibly and use my turn signal often, my car horn seldom, and my middle finger never. If I cannot find a parking spot, I will not invent my own.
- I promise to be respectful of people, property, wildlife and wild spaces. I will make my own memories, but not my own trails.
- I promise to take it slow and embrace the relaxed pace of coastal life.
- I promise to be kind, give back where I can, and help make the Tillamook Coast a welcoming place for all.
Stay safe, have fun, create wonderful memories, and visit us again!
