Stops along the shore for you to explore
The train starts its journey in Garibaldi, where the station has recently been renovated and expanded, with additions that make the facility more eco-friendly and provide space for community meetings. Come to town early to check out the station and explore a bit before you board. Enjoy the Garibaldi Museum, which catalogues the maritime history of the region, or visit the heart of the city, the working fishing marina. From Garibaldi, the train winds up the coast to lovely Wheeler, the picturesque little fishing village with views of the bay and surrounding hills. Check out the shops for antiques, fabrics, jewelry and more—the stores here are full of wonderful souvenirs and curiosities, showing off small-town charm. The final stop is Rockaway Beach, where you can grab a bowl of the most delicious clam chowder from the famous Old Oregon Smokehouse and take a stroll through the International Police Museum to learn something new.
(Note: you can hop on at either end of the line, so your order of stops may look different.)
